In depth

Verdict

Frankie Anson and Bannville may find the potentially useful WYMOTT too quick in an informative opener. Frankie Anson is out of a winning mare who is a half-sister to the useful Super Tactics, and she has clearly passed some of that ability on as Frankie Anson has shaped well on both his starts to date, finishing a good second at Kelso in March. Not seen since, he looks a leading player here. Bannville stepped up on a modest debut effort in this country when driven to a narrow success at Stratford three months ago. He is aided by the powerful AP McCoy here but a penalty may prove prohibitive and at his likely short price he is taken on. Wymott is well regarded by his skilful handler, and was well backed on his debut, but was outpaced by a decent type. He made amends next time before being far from disgraced in the Champion Bumper at Aintree. He receives weight from his main rivals here and can make a winning hurdling bow.
