      Verdict

A poor contest where if you must have a bet then IF ONLY is the suggestion, while The Name Is Frank, Scruffy Skip and Bermondsey Bob all have claims. The last-named is 3lbs higher than when taking a similarly moderate Chepstow handicap last time, when there was some cut in the ground. He does acts on good to firm, but his handicapping form in general is not strong and he might struggle to follow-up. Scruffy Skip has some invaluable course winning form to his name and acts on fast ground, although countering that was the fact that it was a seller and he was easily beaten from a 2lb higher mark when handicapping last time. The Name Is Frank is on the same mark as when beaten in all of his last four starts and is likely to find one too good, and that one may well be If Only. Jonathan Jay had a winner with his most recent runner and this Monsieur Bond colt went close from a 1lb lower mark at Kempton last time. He doesn't have many miles on the clock and is still open to some improvement, and we hope to see him home in front today.
