Verdict

John Gosden enjoys a tremendous 54% strike rate from 13 runners here over the past five years and POLPERRO holds outstanding claims of boosting that impressive record. The Kingmambo colt has progressed pleasingly with racing and the form of his latest runner-up effort in a useful-looking Sandown maiden looks by far the best form on display. The yard also field Informed Award but, in comparison to his stablemate, the Dubawi colt appears to be on the downgrade of late and Misty Isles looms as a larger threat after a promising Newbury maiden effort for her up-and-coming yard. It is also reasonable to anticipate improvement from both Munaawib and Cordillera after rather uninspiring debut runs.
