In depth

Verdict

Newby Lodge scored over 1m4f here last time but, though Laura Pike negates most of a penalty, today's shorter trip could prove a bigger problem. PROFESSOR JOHN has threatened to end his long losing run on a couple of occasions over this C&D this season including when runner-up here last time. He's taken to go one better on this occasion. Abigails Angel has claims now the handicapper has relented and dropped her 4lb, while Harry Lime has also slipped down the weights since his fourth here in June.
