Verdict

Blue Empire has more to do than when landing an apprentices' claimer at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and preference is for Kew The Music, who gets the vote over Blaeberry. The last mentioned showed improved form on her reappearance at Lingfield recently and, if she can translate that back to turf, has every chance. The Number made all to win a seller at Catterick last time and the handicapper has left him on a mark of 63 for his return to this grade so the four-year-old cannot be discounted. This looks a tougher race though and preference is for Kew The Music. Mick Channon's gelding made an encouraging return to the turf at Southwell two weeks ago when a close third behind No Grouse and a reproduction of that effort may suffice here. Cayman Colony and Halcyon Express are others worthy of a mention but Kew The Music has an obvious chance and gets the vote.
