In depth

Verdict

This looks really tight with only the veteran Peter Island, who hasn't run for over two years, looking out of it. Black Dave has always been consistent but is now in top form though he'll be racing from his highest mark on his 46th start. Presumido's five career victories have all been on Polytrack but Rain God scored twice for Aidan O'Brien before joining Gary Moore and he showed his best form for the yard at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago. POETIC CHOICE was in very good form on fast going last summer and looked on the way back at Wolverhampton last time. She looks to have as good a chance as any in an open contest though Welease Bwian likes it around here as he showed when scoring comfortably over slightly shorter in July. Cadeaux Pearl wins his share of races and makes the long journey from Nottingham after a good run at Catterick a fortnight ago.
