Verdict

Cheylesmore went close over C&D before scoring over 7f here at last week's meeting. He has a penalty to contend with as a consequence and WAABEL is preferred. He finished just ahead of the former when runner-up over track and trip in May and the multiple all-weather winner can finally put an end to his losing run on Turf. Bateleur wasn't been beaten far on his last couple of starts and Uncle Timmy should be capable of better this season given he scored twice over the minimum trip last term. Cocohatchee would have leading claims if taking part but was engaged to run at Windsor yesterday.
