Verdict

Green Earth rattled up a four-timer earlier in the season with three of those victories coming here over 1m2f. He stays this longer trip, as he proved at Windsor in June, so has to go on the short-list as he's starting to come down the weights again. Mr Fickle won over a mile at Chepstow last month but this trip may be beyond him and Royal Defence, winner of this two years ago, is on a long losing run. Roger Varian's stable couldn't be in better form and the filly PANETTONE is his only runner here today. She won off a pound higher mark over course and distance just over a year ago and may have been refreshed by a short break so gets the nod.
