Verdict

The vast majority of low grade handicappers are inconsistent and there's a few of those on show here. Waldsee was placed at Bath back in June but beaten out of sight last time, while Steady Gaze has failed to figure either side of winning at Folkestone. Vinces went close at the same track before a poor recent effort at Lingfield and Rowan Ridge was showing signs of a revival until finishing last on his latest start at Yarmouth. Royal Defence won over a shorter trip here in the summer and looks a bit more dependable, but DRUMADOON gets a tentative vote after a close-up third at this track last time when Salesiano was three lengths further back.
