Verdict

The Old Fella, Pires and Copper King are the three to concentrate on here and the vote is given to The Old Fella. The selection caught the eye on his debut when he finished a good fourth behind Baby Strange at Ascot. He is sure to come on for the run and with ground conditions to suit and the assistance of Ryan Moore in the saddle he should take all the beating. Pires was second in a field of only three at this track last time and he is another who will benefit from the run as he was very green on his debut. However, he proved that day that he can handle the track and he is respected. Copper King has shown fair form on his two runs to date but he will need to improve to get his head in front today. Eddie Jock may prove best of the remainder but for the winner we will return to The Old Fella.
