Verdict

Seven furlongs looks to be the optimum trip for Duty Doctor, who can take this for the in-form Sylvester Kirk, with Micheals Boy and Pajada among the dangers. The nature of this contest means that caution is advised where bets are concerned but if you must then Duty Doctor is suggested. The filly has twice gone close over this trip and was not far away over a mile last time in three-year-old company. She handles a decent surface and can give weight away all around in this compressed handicap. Micheals Boy went close to breaking his duck in a Folkestone handicap last time and with trip and ground again to suit he is respected. However, it remains to be seen whether the visor will have the same effect this time and he is opposed. Pajada remains a maiden after 30 career starts, but is not bad over this trip and on a sound surface, so she may again be capable of making the frame. A case could be made for Astroangel on her best form, while Cow Girl has dropped to a very low mark now and if she could reproduce some of her previous efforts made from higher marks she'd have a definite chance. Tread with caution here but Duty Doctor is the suggestion.
