Verdict
A chance is taken on HAND PAINTED relishing this visit to Brighton as he goes in search of course and distance-win number three; Piazza San Pietro is an obvious danger, while Billy Red and Highland Harvest also have the capacity to make this a tough day at the office for the selection. It would also be dangerous to dismiss Starwatch, as he has shown a lot more sparkle of late. Still, he does have more on his plate under the 6lb penalty incurred for a victory at Epsom eight days ago. However, Brighton is renowned as a course for specialists and nothing fits the profile better than Hand Painted - especially with Seb Sanders - currently the leading jockey at this south coast venue - confirmed as the man doing the steering.
