Verdict

HAND PAINTED looks capable of taking the honours in this run-of-the-mill handicap ahead of Chiosharp, Raimond Ridge. The Peter Makin-trained selection is a dual course winner this term and narrowly failed to complete a hat-trick at Warwick last time. He overcame trouble in running to chase home Ben's Dream on Friday and is turned out again quickly. Providing the race hasn't left a mark, he is the one to beat. Choisharp is running well and if the application of blinkers for the first time has the desired effect, he will be in the shake-up. Mick Channon's Raimond Ridge has been kept busy but is holding his form admirably. He has to be respected but Hand Painted can resume winning ways.
