Verdict

A 9lb rise in the weights makes life tough for recent Epsom winner Northern Spy and he is passed over in favour of DRIVEN who looks fairly treated on a mark of 73. The selection won here in April off a 6lb lower mark and Amanda Perrett's gelding should appreciate the return to this track. He is likely to be held up so the likely decent pace will suit and therefore he is nominated. Burns Night has been holding his form well all season and is unlikely to be far away although he might struggle out of his age group once again. Arthur's Edge is dropped in class slightly as he steps up in trip again, Bere Davis doesn't appear to be amazingly handicapped, whilst April Fool appears unlikely to get the easy lead that he often desires. My Gacho goes in the visor again that saw him nose home at Leicester last time out, Support Fund is a course winner and cannot be overlooked, whilst Ryan Moore looks a good jockey booking for Marvo who lost little in defeat last time as he chasd the hat-trick at Sandown. Bold Cross may fare better now dropped in class, Uncle Fred is the most consistent in the line-up, whilst Elna Bright has been around the houses but knows how to win here. Driven is fancied to get back to winning ways.
