Verdict

Over To You Bert gets a cautious vote over the likes of Napoletano, Magroom and Bollywood to name but three. The market is normally a reliable guide in these type of events, and we expect the Ron Hodges inmate Over To You Bert to be amongst the more fancied runners based on his exploits so far this season. The eight-year-old was successful at Wolverhampton in March and subsequently failed to capture a race in the Channel Islands for the second year running. Down the field in an apprentice affair at Salisbury last time, he should be a major player in this grade. Napoletano has the cheekpieces on but will need to show more than he did at Leicester last time, while Magroom won over the course-and-distance in similar company but that may have been a flash in the pan. He should at least hold Bollywood on the that form, although the latter was noted finishing quite well when fifth in a non-selling handicap here four days ago. The vote goes to Over To You Bert.
