Verdict

The older pair at the head of the weights may struggle to contain a couple of promising three-year-olds in SPIETA and Brigh who are preferred in that order. Spieta ran a good second behind the progressive London Bridge on reappearance here before narrowly failing to hold on at Kempton last time under a canny Kieren Fallon front-running ride. He holds Bligh on their running that day and is actually 1lb better off with his victim who was a length away in third. Luca Cumani's decent record at the track enhances confidence. Megalala has been a wonderful servant to John Bridger down the years and boasts a career record of 15-102. The 12-year-old should take some prize money home once again.
