Regal Veil is considered but we'll take Spin Again to get the better of Doric Lady and Rough Rock. The selection isn't ideally drawn but there are few jockeys who ride this track better than Seb Sanders and he can be relied upon to have his mount in the right place at the right time. The trip is a slight concern given that he appeared to be outpaced over seven furlongs at Warwick but this contest is far less competitive than the two handicaps he's contested to date and he appears to be progressive. Doric Lady has been racing over five furlongs since finishing just 3 lengths behind Meydan Princess in a Lingfield maiden over six. She's looked in need of this longer trip and, with her yard going well, has to be on the short-list. A move for Caprio would be worth noting but Rough Rock completes our short-list as he looks handicapped to go close back at a course where he has run well in the past. Neil Callan takes over in the saddle from an inexperienced apprentice and the pair should make a bold bid but we prefer the claims of Spin Again.
