REEL BUDDY STAR showed signs of a return to form and is taken to defy a poor draw and win this at the main expense of Danehillsundance and Blue Charm. George Moore's gelding has enjoyed both his wins on good ground, one of them being over another right-handed circuit at Ripon. Upped 2lbs for finishing runner-up at Doncaster last time, he is still on the same mark as when taking that Ripon contest and when in form he does tend to string two or three good runs together, so we will suggest him. Danehillsundance is an obvious danger after scoring over course and distance last time and only going up 3lbs as a result. He is better drawn than our pick but appears to want genuine fast ground to be at his best and it is not forecast to be that quick so we will now take him on. Blue Charm won in these conditions and over the same trip at Pontefract, and he looks competitive here but does need a career best to add another win to his CV. Celtic Change is 6lbs higher than when scraping home at Haydock earlier in the month but he has a good pitch here and could still go well if able to lay up with the pace, while course winner Handsome Falcon is suited by this trip and is back on the sort of mark from which he can win, so don't rule him out. A competitive race, and Reel Buddy Star can take it.
