SHADOWTIME looks the one to beat although respect is given to Ailsa Craig, Celtic Change and Boy Blue. Tracy Waggott's gelding went close to landing what would've been his fifth course and distance win just over a week ago and runs off the same mark here. He was far too keen that day and in the circumstances did well, so with plenty of pace on here he's taken to settle better and that can make the difference. Ailsa Craig is respected as a filly in form as she clearly relishes a stiff mile. Tony Hamilton's mount is up 6lbs but beat a reliable type at Carlisle and remains a threat to all in this sort of form. Celtic Change drops in class as he bids to repeat his May course and distance win. The gelding remains 6lbs higher but more of a concern is the form of the yard and until they show signs of life their runners are worth taking on. Boy Blue is up 2lbs following a decent Pontefract effort, albeit from the best of the draw. He remains 8lbs below his last winning mark but this race is more competitive. Cherry Bee may need this first start in 337 days, Danehillsundance is now up to the sort of mark that has proved his undoing for a couple of years while Bullet Man will surely find this trip on the sharp side. With his stable companion Faithful Ruler struggling for form and Carnivore out of sorts too, our vote goes to Shadowtime.
