Verdict

A number of these are old rivals and it is highly likely there will be little between the likes of ANTIGUA SUNRISE, Classic Contours and Dispol Diva if they all run up to their current marks. Antigua Sunrise has started the campaign in a mean mood and is once again fancied to be the toughest nut to crack. The daughter of Noverre has steadily improved as the emphasis has been placed on her stamina - as proved by her grinding success at York 12 days ago. That was her first try at 1m-4f and, as the manner of the victory created the impression she has plenty more to offer; her 3lb higher mark hardly looks an insurmountable barrier. Classic Contours already has a bit to find with the selection but, having also relished this sort of trip in each of his last two starts, he has to merit consideration. Dispol Diva also has scope to progress further over this trip and, despite needing to improve greatly to take home the lion's share of the profits; she is no forlorn hope to make the frame. Others to note include: Northside Prince, who makes his handicap debut on a fair mark, while Sharp Sovereign doesn't have too much to find to get involved in a scrap for the minor honours. However, Antigua Sunrise has the most solid current profile and she is fancied to enhance Richard Fahey's strike-rate at this course.
