Verdict

Mark Johnston won the inaugural running of this with Maastricht last year and GREY BLUE looks to have every chance in the renewal. He improved on his debut effort to finish second at Lingfield and could prove too good for main rival Mister Marcasite. The latter made a promising start when runner-up at Newcastle last week and should be thereabouts. The remainder have some catching up to do but Attansky is going the right way and may figure while Silk Scarf is less exposed than recent Catterick third Chant.
