In depth

Verdict

In the opener, Irving Place is selected ahead of Prime Performer and Gain Share. Angle Of Attack showed plenty of promise when fifth at York on his debut after running green. Daring Dream cost 49,000 euros and could be interesting on his debut. Frizzini is a 16,000 guineas son of Bertolini, while Gain Share's debut Newcastle fifth was not devoid of promise and he too has to be considered. Irving Place has finished second on each of his starts to date and, with the form rating as solid in the context of this contest, he too has to be on your list of probables. Note Perfect's debut eighth at Haydock behind Janina was promising and, being a 25,000 guineas son of Acclamation, Prime Performer is an interesting newcomer, while Revue Princess is also of some interest being a 13,000 euros daughter of Mull Of Kintyre that is related to winners. Overall, though, the vote goes to Irving Place.
