      Verdict

WILD DESERT has plenty on under topweight but has delivered really commendable efforts the last twice in good handicaps and should play a prominent role if maintaining that level here despite his burden. However, let's take a chance on PETELLA in receipt of over a stone. Hold-up tactics are normally the order of the day for the George Moore inmate who made a pleasing return to action at Pontefract last month after a near eight month absence. She is the sort that needs everything to flow her way but is a hopeful punt in an open contest. Blackstone Vegas and Mojolika were one-two in that Pontefract race and should go well again although neither has scored on ground with cut. In contrast, Mohawk Ridge goes well on the soft and is a threat to all.
