Verdict

A market check is essential in these early-season juvenile affairs, especially regarding newcomers from powerful yards. Debutants to catch the eye here are Richard Fahey's Dark Angel filly Realtra, Mark Johnston's Bahamian Bounty filly Bahamian Art, and Michael Dods' Aussie Rules colt Buccaneers Vault. It will be interesting to see how they fare in market exchanges. Of those to have run, Red Connect. Well Fleeced and Penalty Scorer were sixth, seventh and eighth respectively in the Brocklesby Stakes but the one that really impressed on debut was SPORTLOBSTER. The Dascombe colt concedes weight all round but his Windsor debut third behind Magical Roundabout was full of promise when seemingly unfancied and he can get off the mark here.
