We all know by now that a high draw is absolutely essential in these races, and with that in mind Swynford Welcome is fancied to take advantage of her prime draw in stall 15; Catch The Cat and Tommy Smith are obvious dangers, while H Harrison is another for the shortlist. Tommy Smith likes to blast off in front and as such he is well drawn in stall 11. He was not disgraced in a decent handicap at Haydock last weekend and should be thereabouts here. Catch The Cat took advantage of an excellent draw to win over five furlongs here two starts ago, but was subsequently well beaten here. While he has again got lucky with the draw, he may just have a little too much weight to win this. H Harrison has only won one race in his career so far, but has finished close up behind some useful performers lately and, again with a good draw, he should not be too far away. However, we'll stick with Swynford Welcome, who tends to do well at this time of year and is now only three pounds higher than when winning at Epsom last month. Her defeat at Catterick last time is readily excused as she went off far too quickly, and we fancy her to sit off a nice lead from Tommy Smith and pounce in the closing stages.
