In depth

Verdict

The draw could have been a lot kinder to Out The Ordinary but, as he sets a fair standard, he can put his experience to good use here. Newcomers: Bahamian Duke and The Shrewd Cookie appeal on pedigree and rate as good value, while Goodtime Girl is respected but already has improvement to find. The Shrewd Cookie's dam won over this trip as a juvenile and he would not need to be anything special to figure at this level. Similar comments apply to Bahamian Duke, who, as a brother to Treasure Cay, can be expected to make an impact at this trip. Karl Burke has his string in flying form and his representative is one to seriously consider if the vibes are positive about him from the betting ring. However, Out The Ordinary has the benefit of knowledge on his side and, with the form of each of his previous starts reading well in the context of this races, the son of Whittingham gets the nod here.
