Verdict

Henry Bee, denied a run at Warwick yesterday, is invariably in the firing-line but has had plenty of chances. So has ELEGANT GIRL but she appears better drawn here and a pair of blinkers could persuade her to finally put her head in front where it matters after several near-misses. Economic Crisis is another who has been knocking on the door but Thirsk third Marmalade Moon has more scope, though trainer Robert Cowell also runs nicely-bred newcomer Silken Express, who coast 75,000gns as a yearling. Legal Bond, placed at Hamilton and Ripon so far, and Brunswick Vale, only beaten a short-head over C&D last time, look best of the rest.
