Verdict

POLISH WORLD won this last year from a 2lb lower mark and should be ideally suited by the good going. He's not been in the best of form lately but is well drawn and can bounce back to winning ways. Shadowtime absolutely loves it around here but he's better over an extra furlong as he stays on late up the hill while this has been a poor race for three-year-olds over the years which may rule out the consistent Hi There, who could also have done with a better draw. Another from the younger brigade, Wahylah, has been disappointing but is gradually slipping to a fair mark. Copperwood has had 69 starts but has never raced here though both track and trip should suit while another veteran, Majuro, is also making his debut at Beverley on his 66th start.
