In depth

Verdict

Dunroe Boy is in tremendous heart at present and followed a fine run over fences at Clonmel with a convincing success over this trip at Ballinrobe. He's shot up 10lb for that and has to concede weight to several in-form rivals and it's a tough ask in these conditions. PARTHIAN EMPIRE went to Listowel last month with five poor runs behind him but produced an impressive performance and there appeared to be no fluke about it. He's been raised 7lb but with further progress likely can complete the double. Special Bar looks a major threat after a very promising handicap debut at Tipperary, his first start since November. He's another likely to improve as is Brian Who, a real mudlark who found the ground too quick at Sligo last time.
