Mt Weather won this in 2008 from a mark of 53, exactly the same as today's rating. His form figures are uninspiring but he's dropped 15lbs in a year and may be ready to win again soon. It took 16 runs for PIMLICO SOUND to get off the mark but he had been running really well previously this season and a 4lbs rise for beating Fairy Flow easily at Down Royal should not prevent a quick follow up. Thats A Fret appeared to appreciate the step-up to 7f at Fairyhouse and his only success at this trip came on soft ground. Ah Joe is still a maiden after 20 starts but Faynita has been in good form and was still in touch when hampered in a decent handicap at the Curragh last week.
