In depth

Verdict

Count Of Tuscany is fascinating in this line-up and Mutadarrej may have more to offer for his new yard but PERCEPTION looks to be the solid option. Charlie Egerton is fully capable of having Count Of Tuscany ready to roll on his return to action as he makes his debut for the yard but the gelding looks no more than fairly handicapped and has plenty to prove over this longer trip. There are no concerns on that score with Perception who is 3lbs higher for her narrow course and distance win and she's fancied to go in again now that she's got her head in front for the first time this season. Mutadarrej has shaped with promise in just three starts for this yard and looks capable of adding to his 2006 maiden success but he does have to race from 3lbs out of the handicap which is far from ideal whilst Wightgold and Robbmaa are also out of the weights so could struggle in a race that can go to Perception.
