Verdict

MASTER MAHOGANY looks good enough to land this average handicap with both April Fool and Samurai Warrior worth noting. The selection has won off a higher mark in the past and although he is not the easiest horse to win with he does look well treated on his best form and if he is anywhere near his best he ought to go close. April Fool won around here over a mile on his penultimate outing but he disappointed off a five pound higher mark at Windsor last time out. He steps up in trip today which may bring about some more improvement so any market moves should be noted. Samurai Warrior won back to back races at Lingfield and Bath last month but since rising in the weights he has struggled in his last two races. The handicapper may have him where he wants him for the time being so he should be treated with caution. Master Mahogany is the from pick in the race and is the preferred choice.
