In depth

Verdict

Desperate Dan is a speculative pick in this claimer with Who's Winning and High Ridge respected. The horse has had his problems over the last few seasons and probably is solely capable at this class these days. Nevertheless, a big field seems to bring about his better performances and if he is in the mood, he is more than capable of landing this prize. Who's Winning drops back in trip. Firm ground appears to suit. High Ridge has struggled to get his head infront. Were there any rain around, it would help him considerably. Meridian Line is an interesting class dropper. Johnny Portman is sending out winners at the moment so the market is watched. Night Prospector 's recent second to Hurricane Hen reads particularly well given the recent form of the David Evans' charge. Deal Flipper has yet to prove that she has trained on from her juvenile status. No Worries Yet won a fair few races last term and can be forgiven for having needed the run. Desperate Dan gets the nod.
