Verdict

The majority of Dingaan's form reads very well however he is very hard to win with (last win in June 07) and so he is taken on with BERE DAVIS who is preferred to course and distance winner April Fool. David Evans' gelding was disappointing last time out at Chepstow, but he is better judged on his close second to Beautiful Breeze the time before over a mile. Now returned to the mile trip he should run a big race, especially if he is able to get an easy lead. A potential rival for that role (and therefore potential fly in the ointment) is April Fool. A winner here in June, Jonathon Geake's son of Pivotal handles any ground and should run well despite a career-high mark. Phluke is out of form, Major Phil fulfilled some of his potential last time and is open to more improvement, whilst Sunny Future shaped well in defeat last time out. All four of Very Well Red, Magroom, Monashee Rock and Rock Anthem may appreciate the return to this track, but we are happy to stick with Bere Davis.
