In depth

Verdict

Lord Ali McJones, third in both runs so far, looks the pick of those with previous experience in this as he finished ahead of the more exposed Courtland King at Chester 10 days ago. But there are a couple of interesting newcomers in opposition here in the shape of William Haggas' Royal Applause colt Faraway and PERCY JACKSON. The latter is a half-brother to two juvenile winners and may yet prove a bargain at the knockdown price of 3,800gns.
