In depth

Verdict

Myfrenchconnection is taken to complete a hat-trick at the expense of Palmetto Point, Poppets Sweetlove and The Jailer in a pretty open finale. Myfrenchconnection has been in good form at Beverley of late, and although the first of his two wins came in claiming company, Paul Midgely's charge could not line up in better form. Palmetto Point has won three of his last five starts, but looked as though the handicapper might just be catching up with him when fourth at Pontefract last time, while Poppets Sweetlove was ridden out to score over the course-and-distance a fortnight ago, and has a good draw in stall two. The Jailer also likes it here and lines up on the back of an all-the-way success at Kempton recently. There are certainly plenty to choose from, with the pin coming down on Myfrenchconnection.
