In depth

Verdict

CROQUEMBOUCHE was a narrow margin winner at Folkestone last month. He's up 5lb but beat subsequent dual winner Standpoint on that occasion and is taken to go in again here. Highland Duke is lightly-raced and should make his presence felt after a second at Haydock while Jewelled has claims on her earlier run on the Polytrack at Lingfield when runner-up to Hayaku. James Pollard scored at Chepstow in June but has failed to threaten in a couple of starts on the Flat since and Amistress has yet to show any improvement for slipping down the weights.
