Verdict

A modest maiden in which Sindy, Go For Success and Golden Dual look the only three with serious chances. All eyes will be on the former in the paddock and indeed, the betting ring as she makes a racecourse reappearance. Second in a fair Newmarket maiden, Paul Cole sent her to Deauville to contest the Group 3 Prix des Reservoirs in October. She disappointed on that day but that performance was dismissed by the jockey on account of the prevailing softer going. If she has managed to train on, she looks to be the one that they all have to beat. Go For Success finished third in a Goodwood handicap to a progressive type in Joe Bear. He did let himself down though with a lacklustre effort at Salisbury next time out. Officially rated 78; he is the best of those to have earned a BHB figure and is not without a chance should there be any "problems" with Sindy. Golden Dual finished third to Stage Shy in a maiden at Sandown last month. Connections sent Stage Shy for a crack at the Group 2 Pretty Polly Stakes at Curragh after that race so the fact that he only finished six lengths behind her was no disgrace. A modest run at Nottingham by Golden Dual would hardly inspire you to rush to the bookmakers to back him again. Dovedon Hero finished a nine-length second to Blonde Streak on debut at Nottingham. As Blonde Streak is officially rated 75; this indicates that much more is required by the McBride representative today. Electrique is already rated 65 and is best watched on seasonal reappearance. The others make little appeal. Therefore we will watch the market with our eyes on Sindy. Go For Success being made the most plausible alternative.
