Verdict

The softer going may have been to blame for MONICALEW's poor run at Carlisle in May. Her earlier fourth at Newmarket reads well in the context of this race and Walter Swinburn's filly is fancied to lose her maiden tag here against largely exposed rivals. Goose Green is usually thereabouts around here but finished tailed off over hurdles at Newton Abbot on Monday, while Aviso continues to edge back up the weights despite not winning. Miss Blink's hat-trick bid foundered at Hamilton last time and she may also be in the handicapper's grip now but Leitzu can't be ignored and is preferred to Brighton runner-up Excellent Vision of the remainder.
