      Verdict

Cape Unknown can land this race although Canadian Danehill and Epitomise look worthy opposition. The track could well suit the front running Cape Unknown, who did little wrong when overhauled close home by Millinsky. Jockey Jamie Spencer is riding with maximum confidence at the moment and looks to have a good chance here. Canadian Danehill is another frontrunner who could be suited by the race conditions. His trainer could be in better form though than he is of late. Epitomise won a claimer for Ralph Beckett at Hamilton Park over six furlongs. This drop back to the minimum trip looks highly interesting given that most of Epitomise's better form was over seven furlongs. Cree, conversely tends to get in the argument late in the day. Her trainer saddled a winner on Saturday evening so he isnt too readily discounted. Majestical has only ever won over five furlongs on the artifical surfaces. The handicapper has granted a little respite to him and he should go close off a revised mark. Princely Vale has ground conditions to suit although he has become irritatingly inconsistent. A comment that equally applies to Grigovitch. Cape Unknown should have the race run to suit and should be there in the shake-up.
