Verdict

Reviving can finally break his duck at the expense of Sunrise Safari and Queen's Night. Fulke Johnson Houghton's colt was an unlucky loser last time out when he lost all momentum as Past Tender crossed his path inside the final furlong at Warwick sixteen days ago. He is owned by the comedian Mel Smith - a man who is no stranger to owning good horses - and if Reviving is given a clear run - he should be good enough to dispatch this afternoon's field. Sunrise Safari was not totally disgraced in the Norfolk Stakes at York. He is beginning to look plenty exposed and will represent the benchmark this afternoon. The filly Queen's Night ran a solid enough race over six furlongs at Doncaster when second to Lonely Ahead. She is dropped back to five this afternoon and is dutifully watched in the market. Rag Tag hails from the Andrew Balding stable. The stable have had a reasonable run of form of late but on all known racecourse evidence, he will need to show a little more ability to be considered as a betting proposition today. Sticky Mint is hard to fancy. A fair maiden in which Reviving can hopefully gain compensation for that recent Warwick upset.
