In depth

Verdict

The three to look out for here are Generous Lad, Gallego and Piper's Song with the vote going to the last named. The selection ran below par last time out at Nottingham but had shown enough form prior to that to warrant respect. His second to Crispey Brook over the same track and trip beforehand was a gallant effort and if reproducing his form he has to be very much respected. Generous Lad comes here in tip top form also. He did manage to win back in December on the all weather and has since not been out of the frame. His latest effort was a fair one finishing third of ten behind Uig at Chepstow at the beginning of the week and if the race has not come too soon another bold bid is expected. Gallego has not won since July of last year but was not beaten that far on both his runs this term so is one to note in the betting maket. But for the winner we return to Piper's Song who we feel can put a disappointing run behind him and get back to winning ways.
