In depth

Verdict

Eradicate is taken break his duck at the expense of Haarth Sovereign and Compton Falcon. Mark Johnston's team have started in reasonable form this season and having finished third in a hot Newmarket maiden that has thrown up a number of winners, Eradicate has to be considered the horse that they all have to beat. Haarth Sovereign ran green on Windsor debut and the betting suggested that not too much was expected on the day. Compton Falcon is a half-brother to useful filly, Giulia and the market should offer us the best idea. Boogie Board was tried over six furlongs as a juvenile and makes a debut for a new trainer today. Eradicate looks to have all the best form to hand and looks difficult to oppose on this occasion.
