Verdict

HIRED HAND wasn't far away in two very hot bumpers in Ireland on his first two starts and while he's only managed to get his head in front on one occasion during his career, he does act on the surface, and this appears to be easiest assignment for some time. Ali Brewer only took her training licence out in May but she's made a good start to her career and Canna can go well. While he is still a maiden under both codes, he ran in the Lingfield Derby trial during his time on the Flat with Barry Hills. Cruising Bye ran a stormer at Worcester on his first start for almost 18 months. Frank Lloyd's gelding has to be a major player if the bounce factor doesn't come into play. The Weatherman is back to a winning mark although our confidence has been somewhat muted by a couple of disappointing efforts of late.
