In depth

Verdict

Truxton King was capable on the flat and has shown some ability over hurdles in Ireland so it will be interesting to see what he achieves now in the care of Paul Nicholls but he has not looked completely in love with the jumping game and preference is for INVENTOR. Don McCain's gelding can reverse Market Rasen's Summer Hurdle form with Alazan, having ran too badly to be true in that event and he looks worth another chance judged by his earlier successes here and at Hexham. Jonjo O'Neill's Another Trump has not shown any worthwhile form in four runs over fences this term but may do better now switched back to hurdles, while Saltagioo has been running well but has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper. Nordwind was pulled up in the Summer Hurdle and is better than he showed that day but Inventor should be too good for him and can resume winning ways.
