Verdict

If there is any cut in the ground then that may play in to the hands of Jimbatai but we side with the impressive enough last time out winner WALAMO with Another Trump showing little progression in his three appearances this year whilst Magical Legend was promising on her chasing debut on her latest start. Walamo was ten lengths clear when winning at Market Rasen earlier this month and this was only his second run this year. Tim Vaughan has won a third of steeplechase races he has had entries in this year and with Richard Johnson retaining the ride his option here could get back-to-back successes. Jimbatai has put in some modest efforts under rules and although his jumping is sometimes not as fluent as required, it has certainly come on since his early days running in points in Ireland. Magical Legend plugged on well enough to finish third on her chasing debut but will need to have benefitted from that experience to challenge today. Another Trump has shown very little in three chase starts and is best watched today. We side with Walamo to pick up the win.
