In depth

Verdict

URSUMMAN was a little disappointing on his UK debut and for new connections last time but is given a second chance here with Wild Is The Wind and Run For Paddy entering calculations. Jonjo O¿Niell and JP McManus must have spotted something they liked about the selection to purchase him for decent enough money after some indifferent chasing performances in Ireland. His UK bow was made in a similar race where he stayed on without challenging the leaders. He is the highest rated here and having been giving more time with him Jonjo may have unlocked his best. Wild Is The Wind concedes eight pounds to the pick and is rated four pounds worse off. Based on that it looks an uphill battle to win here but he¿s has been consistent in Hunter Chases winning twice in his last three starts. Run For Paddy likes conditions to be on the quick side and thrived for that last time to run his best for a while when a runner up in one of these. He only just missed out in that race and it could be he¿s hitting form. Proud Andees was being outclassed in the Foxhunters at the Festival before falling four out but if we take that out of the equation he has to be considered based on his two easy victories in this sphere this term. It could be that Ursumman is a little over rated but we think it¿s worth taking the chance he isn¿t.
