Verdict

Star Galaxy is thrown in on his mark over fences but we prefer the claims of KRIS KIN LINE, with Ballysimon not to be ruled out either. Our selection was pretty decent on the level when with Sir Michael Stoute but has in truth struggled since switched to timber. However, that's reflected in this rating of 107 and we're hopeful that the first-time blinkers can help this talented horse return to the pick of his form, notably when second to Good Old Thyme at Catterick, which would make him tough to beat. Star Galaxy returns to hurdles off a mark 10lbs lower than the one he's gained over the larger obstacles. John Flint has his runner is good form which bodes well but he's struggled in his last two starts and may be feeling the effects of a long season, so Ballysimon is considered more of a threat to our pick. James Ewart's gelding won nicely at Wincanton a couple of starts back for which he was raised a massive 23lbs, but he coped with that when taking a solid second last time. This step up in trip can enable him to progress further and he's a live threat. Flash Harriet was seven lengths behind Ballysimon last time but a 5lb pull should help him to close that gap, although we'd be surprised were he good enough to reverse the form. Kristallo hasn't had many chances but doesn't appear particularly well treated and on his flat rating shouldn't get near Kris Kin Line who rates our pick.
