In depth

Verdict

Tenor Nivernais rather lost his way over hurdles last season and didn't do much better over fences on his reappearance at Haydock. He's probably best watched until showing signs of a revival while a similar comment applies to Pere Blanc following a long absence. MALT MASTER was sent to Punchestown for a valuable novice hurdle in April and only found one too good. His pedigree suggests the switch to fences will suit and Nicky Henderson's five-year-old can score at the first time of asking though Granville Island should be monitored for future reference and One In A Milan should also have a future over the larger obstacles.
