Alan King's Saltagioo showed a decent level of form on the flat but has disappointed in both starts over hurdles and while the yard's runners are in better form now and he may do better now sent handicapping, a safer option looks to be PRINCE SABAAH, who gets the vote over Salontyre. John Llewellyn's gelding still looked to be travelling well before slipping up before three out at Exeter recently and he has to be respected off what looks a fair mark. Rebecca Curtis has been doing well with her string of late and her representative here, Peppertree Lane, has claims on the pick of his form but he was not the most consistent of performers when with Mark Johnston on the flat and that is still the case now. Reland is lightly raced and has to be considered being trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies but he needs to run better here than on his first start in a handicap at Huntingdon in December and preference is for Prince Sabaah. The six-year-old has shown a liking for testing ground on the flat and over hurdles in limited starts for Venetia Williams and he looks worth siding with off a mark of 106.
